The Department of Campus Protection Services has two (2) external positions of Shift Leaders available at the Soshanguve campus
Key performance areas/Core functions:
- Ensure the safety of students, employees, buildings, and vehicles.
- Exercise control over and monitor standards of all daily shift activities.
- Ensure that all subordinates comply with the disciplinary code of conduct and take disciplinary steps in case of misconduct or misdemeanour.
- Schedule shift functions to ensure maximum effectiveness and productivity in terms of available human resources.
- Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise and review the work of all subordinates.
- Ensure that tasks with target dates are performed in time without losing any quality.
- Report all incidents as soon as possible to the Security officer or Deputy Director of Security Services for attention or advice.
- Act and supervise activities during an emergency until responsibility is handed over to a senior officer.
- Visit all posts for which subordinates are responsible in the shift.
- Is responsible for all traffic control after hours.
- Receive, check, and inspect shift vehicles and record discrepancies or damages.
- Take full responsibility for the vehicle, including the logging of trips and kilometres travelled during shifts,

Minimum Requirements
Academic qualifications:
- A Master’s Degree (NQF Level 9) in Business Management, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship or related Management Sciences field.
Experience:
- Three years of teaching experience at a tertiary institution and/or three years of relevant industry-related experience will be required.
- For Entrepreneurship-related subjects, at least three years of experience in business coaching & mentorship.
- For Research Supervision, proven track record of supervising masters and doctorate to completion.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other teaching and learning technology software.
- Full proficiency in English is a prerequisite.
- Completing a TUT License to Teach programme will be compulsory once appointed.

The Department of Accounting has a part-time position of a Lecturer at Giyani Campus.
INSTRUCTIONS: Applicants are required to submit together with the CVs, a standardized application form available from the university intranet as well as recently certified copies of qualifications and Identity Document. Failure to comply with this instruction will disqualify the candidate.
Critical Performance Areas
- Curriculum design and lecturing Financial Accounting, and must be willing to lecture multiple modules within the broader accountancy field.
- To be responsible for administrative tasks related to (but not limited to) teaching and learning such as marking scripts, maintaining a subject portfolio file, captiring of marks.
- Participate in subject and curriculum committees.
- Compile and maintain quality study guides, examination question papers and memorandums.
Minimum Requirements
1. Academic qualifications
- Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting or Bcom (Hons) in Accounting/Taxation or relevant qualification on a NQF Level 8
2. Experience
- Three (3) years relevant teaching experience at tertiary level, or a minimum of three years of a discipline work experience in accountancy.
3. Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent written, oral, communication, presentation and computer skills as well as the ability to work with students, to conduct workshops, seminars etc.
- MS PowerPoint, Excel and Pastel Accounting.
4. Registration with professional body( if applicable):
- Member of a professional body is advisable; but NOT compulsory.
5. Presentation
