The .ZA Domain Name Authority (ZADNA) is the regulator and manager of dotZA (.ZA) – South Africa’s Internet namespace. ZADNA is a statutory entity founded in terms of Chapter X of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002. Its key responsibility is to license and regulate .ZA registries and registrars, and to develop and implement policy guidelines. Its offices are located at 72 New Road, Glen Austin AH, Midrand, 1685, Gauteng, South Africa. 
 


​EXECUTIVE MANAGER: FINANCE 

 
ZADNA is seeking to appoint an Executive Manager: Finance to join our management team. This pivotal role will shape ZADNA’s financial direction and contribute to our mission of maintaining a secure, stable, and accessible .ZA domain for all South Africans. 
 
KEY JOB DELIVERABLES: 
  • As a key member of the executive team, you will: 
  • Provide strategic financial leadership and direction to ZADNA. 
  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with ZADNA's strategic objectives, the ECT Act, and national development plans. 
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. 
  • Manage financial risk, internal controls, and compliance (including PFMA, Treasury Regulations, and IFRS). 
  • Optimise funding sources, investments, and cash flow. 
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements and ensure compliance with tax and other statutory requirements. 
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems. 
  • Provide sound financial counsel to the CEO, EXCO, and Board. 
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Honours degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA) is essential. 
  • A minimum of 8 – 10 years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 4 – 6 years in a senior financial leadership role. 
  • Extensive knowledge of GRAP/IFRS, PFMA, Treasury Regulations, and the ECT Act. 
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing financial strategies. 
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial risk management, internal controls, and corporate governance. 
  • Experience in managing funding, investments, and capital allocation. 
  • Excellent financial reporting and compliance skills. 
  • Proven leadership and people management skills.

  • Knowledge of public sector finance and governance. 
 
PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP: 
  • Membership of a recognised professional accounting body such as SAICA, CIMA, ACCA, SAIPA or recognised professional accounting body

  • The Executive Manager: Finance will operate in a dynamic environment influenced by South Africa's evolving economic climate.ZA domain space, government regulations, and ZADNA's commitment to operational excellence and strategic goals. 
 
Reporting Level: Chief Executive Officer
