The Innovation Hub Management Company SOC Ltd (“TIHMC”) was established by the Gauteng Provincial Government’s Department of Economic Development through its Agency: Gauteng Growth and Development Agency SOC Ltd (GGDA). The main purpose of TIHMC is to develop and manage The Innovation Hub science & Technology Park to promote the socio-economic development and competitiveness of Gauteng entrepreneurship support and development.
CALL FOR ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT BUSINESS INCUBATION PROGRAMME MENTORS (24 MONTHS CONTRACT)
The Innovation Hub Management Company (TIHMC) is looking to recruit technical and business experts with the relevant skills and adequate experience to mentor entrepreneurs currently incubated within the Enterprise Development business incubation programme.
WHO SHOULD APPLY?
Mentors with technical and/or business expertise and experience in: Water Quality Management, Waste Water Treatment, Waste Management, Renewable Energy, Green Building, Environmental Management, Product Testing/Certification, Gaming, Animation, Virtual Reality, Augmented reality, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Lean Start-up Methodologies, Systems Thinking, Business Leadership, ICT (e.g. internet of things, cyber security, big data and analytics, artificial intelligence), Advanced Manufacturing, Agriculture, Agro-processing, Food, Healthcare, Medical and Pharmaceutical.
EXPERIENCE: Experience in working with start-up companies in: business strategy, business planning, product development, sales and marketing, venture capital, financial due diligence, manufacturing, operations, corporate governance, impact investing, impact assessments, ethical supply chain management, programme design and implementation, financial oversight, institutional design, financial modelling, financial analysis, commercial law, intellectual property, graphic design, web development, digital marketing, content creators and public relations.
DUTIES: Review, assess and evaluate clean technologies, projects, and proposals • Facilitate training • Serve as technical consultants • Mentor and advise incubated SMEs • Keep the ED team abreast of cutting edge local and international research in their fields; and • Participate in ED organised pitching sessions.
