CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: EXTERNAL ADVERT FOR QUALIFIED APPLICANTS
(FACILITATORS, ASSESSORS AND MODERATORS) ARE INVITED
TO SUBMIT THEIR APPLICATIONS ON THE COLLEGE DATABASE FOR FIXED-TERM CONTRACTS FOR 2026/2027
Western TVET College (WESTCOL) invites all qualified facilitators to apply to be on the database for the following skills programme:
- Assistant Baker (SP-191206)
- New Venture Creation (SP-210401)
- Workplace Preparedness (SP-201201)
- Computer and Digital Support Assistant (SP-191222)
- Conflict Management (SP-210409)
- Workplace Preparedness and Risk Control Officer: Communicable and Occupational Diseases Level 3 (SP-200901)
- Workplace Preparedness and Risk Control Officer: Communicable and Occupational Diseases Level 4 (SP-200902)
- Coded Welding (SP-210402)
- Shielded Metal Arc Welder (SP-191208)
- Workshop Tool Assistant (SP-191207)
- Barber (SP-191215)
Minimum Requirements
- A recognized 3-year relevant Degree/Diploma or equivalent qualification with majors in the field of study, In-depth knowledge of the subject.
- Must have 1-2 years’ experience in facilitating.
- Must have Matric / Grade 12 Certificate.
- Must be registered as an Assessor/Moderator.
- Must have a valid Driver’s license.
- Excellent communication in English.
- Computer literacy.
Duties:
- Facilitate and assess workplace preparedness and risk control officer learners.
- Prepare assessment for each module/topic (Assignment, Test etc) using variety methods.
- Conduct and assess formative continuous assessment for each module.
- Record assessment results for each module accurately.
- Assist learners in the development of portfolio of evidence.
- Adhere to assessment criteria for assessments.
- Provide a valid narrative on the assessment practices undertaken by the SDP on the standard of the continuous assessment conducted.
- Develop the FISA instrument and rubric/marking guideline according to the set standard for the FISA as indicated in the Skills Programme.
- Ensure that the learners are assessed in a fair, unbiased and professional manner.
- Ensure that the final learner results are available to be captured on the QCTO Learner enrolment spread sheet on time.
- Prepare and distribute project material
- Keep record of attendance of learners.
- Provide weekly report on the learner attendance and performance of administrative tasks.
- Monitoring of students in workplace including inspections and safety audits to ensure that control measures are in place and effective
