SOUND TECHNICIAN: CASUAL/TEMPORARY
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB
Providing technical support as a member of the Events & Entertainment department in delivering events and entertainments at uShaka Marine World.
1. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Matric/Grade 12
- NQF Level 6 Sound Engineering Qualification
2. EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
2 years’ working experience in:
- A technical environment with theatre lighting, sound, staging, setting up and de-rigging of audio and/or visual sound equipment.
- troubleshooting and providing minor maintenance on all audio/visual technical equipment
- setting up and sound checking of a full band (up to 10 piece) equipment including backline and managing audio equipment, such as a mixing board, during indoor or outdoor events and live performances.
Preference will be given to employees from the designated groups in line with the provisions of the Employment equity Act, No. 55 of 1998 and any amendments thereto, uShaka Marine World's internal recruitment policy as well as uShaka's employment equity plans.
