Lecturer / Junior Lecturer: Economics Education (1 Post) 
 
In pursuit of solutions for Africa, the University of Limpopo wishes to invite applications for the following vacancies: 

 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Masters in Economics / Economics Education for a lecturer or a Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Economics / Bachelor of Education Honours in Economics Education for Junior lecturer or a relevant equivalent qualifications linked to the post level. 
• Intention to pursue PhD in Economics / Economics Education; 
• At least two (2) years teaching experience; 
• Driver’s licence 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
The incumbent will be responsible for: 
• The facilitation of learning at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; 
• Supervising research projects of students at postgraduate levels; 
• Developing and co-ordinating modules in the programme of the Department; 
• Conducting own research and being involved in community engagement programmes and third stream income of the Department; 
• Involvement in curriculum development. 
 
 
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND BEHAVIOURAL ATTRIBUTES): 
• Knowledge and competency in the teaching of Economics / Economics Education; 
• Knowledge of the South African education system; 
• Ability to supervise students at postgraduate level; 
• Appropriate language and communication skills; 
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
