POST: GENERAL WORKER (SEWER) X 6

REQUIREMENTS 
 NQF level 1/2 
 6 months general work experience. 
 
Job Purpose: Performs activities associated with maintaining cleanliness of specific areas of the areas of sewerage reticulation with high pressure tools and, providing support, applying laid down instructions and guidelines contributing to the accomplishment of quality, health and safety standards applicable to the operations. 
 
Key Performance Areas: 
 Executing specific instruction to address work in progress, 
 Performing labouring activities with the maintenance/ cleaning of pumps, inlets, channels etc., 
 Providing labour support with water and sewerage connections and repair of water sewerage systems/ pipe breakages. 
 Cleaning and removing blockages, debris and alien vegetation from drainage systems, 
 Excavating and backfilling trenched to defined level using hand held tools, 
 Providing labouring support with water purification processes, 
 Add hoc duties,
