The successful incumbent will report to the Chief Accountant: Financial Statements and Reconciliations.
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 with Accounting as subject ● Minimum of 2 years relevant experience ● A valid Code B driver’s licence •Computer literacy in MS Office applications.
Other Requirements:
Sound inter personal and conflict management skills ● Ability to work under pressure ● Strong communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape ● Working knowledge of relevant legislation. ● Excellent analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail. ● High level of confidentiality must be observed. ● Willing to work overtime
Responsibilities/Duties:
Responsible for the effective cash management in according to the rules and regulations set by the Municipal Finance Management Act to ensure sustainable management of cash resources. ● Administer the bank accounts of Stellenbosch Municipality to comply with the cash requirements ● Compile bank reconciliations to ensure control over bank accounts and cash book ● fulfilling the role as an Administrator on the banking system
Added advantage
Knowledge and experience in SAMRAS DB4 financial system will be an added advantage.

Salary: R 137 220.86- R178 135.99 (subject to evaluation) Plus benefits
