POSITION STATUS : Fixed term Contract – 3 Years (Internal/ External)
Purpose of the job
Technical consultation and support to provide procedures and standards for new or existing solutions. Evaluation, testing and integration testing of hardware and software and commissioning of distributed LAN\WAN items and services.
Key Responsibility Areas
Design new IT solutions; Coordinate Business Improvement initiatives and solutions; Provide Advanced Technical support solution designs; Provide proposals for new solutions, hardware and software; Identify IT and security related risks; Quality Assurance; Provide technical advisory service on technology and related IT infrastructure; Develop and maintain Problem/change and Risk Management processes; Provision of 4th line support; Investigation of Root Cause Analysis; Development of Trend Analysis; Customer Interface for developing problem origination; Development of risk mitigation; Change Management; and Co-ordinate and Manage Incidents.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum: 3-year National Higher Diploma / National First Degree in Computer Science, IT or related fields
Experience: 5- 6 Years computer technology working experience in the respective field including the following:
- LAN Security skills
- ITIL
Technical Competencies Description
Knowledge of: Directory services, Architecture and Policy management; DNS, E-Mail, software deployment, Patch management, Core Stack builds; VPN technologies and concepts; Disaster Recovery ; Virtualisation technologies and concepts; Computer and network security principles; Operating System Stack builds (OS Imaging); Service Level Management; Plan, design and build Directory integrated systems; Proficiency in managing, commissioning and maintenance of Core Server infrastructure and Services (Patch management, Antivirus, DNS, DHCP, Agents etc).
Skills: Proven communication skills with multiple levels of an organization, Strong influencing and relationship management skills. Junior Management Skills; Communication Skills (written & verbal); Interpreting Data; Examining Data; Documenting Facts; Attention to Details; Business Writing Skills; Excellent ability to manage multiple high priority efforts/ competing priorities and flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules and priorities. Experience of Change Management Principles, methodologies and Tools. Added advantage Linux, Novell, SSCM & SCOM, Apple Mac, F5, Rapid 7 etc
