SPECIAL INVESTIGATING UNIT (SIU)
The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) is in the process of implementing a new strategy that has resulted in a new operating model and structure. SIU is in search of new performance-driven team members who will perform functions related to drive the implementation of the new strategy that will position the SIU as a leading Anti-Corruption Agency in South Africa, underpinned by a performance-driven culture.
Suitably qualified individuals are invited to apply for the following permanent position:
SENIOR MANAGER: LEGAL COMPLIANCE X1

Head Office: Pretoria
Main purpose: To be responsible for the implementation of the legal compliance framework within the SIU and all processes relating to the effective monitoring and regulation of legal compliance within the SIU.
Minimum qualification and experience: B Honours Degree, LLB in Law or equivalent to NQF 8. Admission as an attorney or advocate and qualifications with CISA will be advantageous. 6 to 8 years’ experience after admission as an Advocate or Attorney within a Legal Compliance environment, of which 4 years is at a management level.
Key performance areas (includes but not limited to): Lead the strategic planning for and management of the Legal compliance section of the SIU. Implement and monitor legal compliance processes. Provide guidance to divisions and reporting. Financial Management. Stakeholder Management.
Technical skills: Strong business acumen. Computer literacy in MS Office packages, with high level Excel skills. Presentation skills. Report writing skills. Strategic decision making. Attention to detail. Information monitoring. Leadership capability. Planning and organizing. Risk taking.
Required knowledge (includes but not limited to): Sound knowledge of law related legislation and regulations. Experience in Legal Compliance Management. Understand the public sector. Sound knowledge of stakeholder management strategies.
