SPECIAL INVESTIGATING UNIT (SIU)
 
The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) is in the process of implementing a new strategy that has resulted in a new operating model and structure. SIU is in search of new performance-driven team members who will perform functions related to drive the implementation of the new strategy that will position the SIU as a leading Anti-Corruption Agency in South Africa, underpinned by a performance-driven culture. 
 
Suitably qualified individuals are invited to apply for the following permanent position: 

SENIOR PRACTITIONER: EMPLOYEE RELATIONS X1 
(Ref No. SIU19/04/028) 
Head Office: Pretoria
 

​Main purpose: Responsible for the implementation of Employee Relations and Employee Wellness strategies which are aligned with business needs and provide expert Employee Relations and Employee Wellness consultative services across all levels of the SIU. 
 
Minimum qualification and experience: B Degree or National Diploma in Employee Relations/Labour Law (NQF 6/7). 3 years’ experience in employee relations. 
 
Key performance areas (include but not limited to): Employee Relations strategy. Employee relations management. Maintain a constructive and collaborative relationship with the recognised union. Employee Wellness. 
 
Technical skills: Policy conceptualisation and implementation. Stakeholder management. Project management. A sound understanding of modern Human Capital (HC) Practices and the current public sector HC operating model. Understanding of HC information systems. 
Public Sector HC operation model. Labour legislation (incl. LRA, EE, BCEA etc.). Collective Bargaining Process knowledge. Accountability and ethical conduct/Integrity. Quality oriented. Sound Judgment. Systems thinking. Deadline-oriented. Analytical ability. Task oriented. Prioritising. Analytical ability. Professionalism. Positive attitude. Flexibility. Adaptability. Initiative. 
 
Required knowledge (includes but not limited to): Interpersonal skills. Problem solving and analysis. People and Diversity management. Conflict management. Communication skills. Decision making.
