SPECIAL INVESTIGATING UNIT (SIU)
The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) is in the process of implementing a new strategy that has resulted in a new operating model and structure. SIU is in search of new performance-driven team members who will perform functions related to drive the implementation of the new strategy that will position the SIU as a leading Anti-Corruption Agency in South Africa, underpinned by a performance-driven culture.

MANAGER: RISK – BUSINESS UNIT SUPPORT X1

Head Office: Pretoria
Main purpose: To monitor and report on operational risk to the Business Unit Support departments. To formulate and implement risk strategies and mitigation plans to manage risk exposure and to coordinate risk mitigation across the entire organisation.
Minimum qualification and experience: B Degree in Business Commerce or equivalent (NQF 7). Member of Institute of Risk Management SA (IRMSA). 5 years’ experience in risk management, of which 2 years is at a management/supervisory level.
Key performance areas (include but not limited to): Departmental Planning and Implementation. Risk Assessment. Risk Management and Monitoring. Staff Management.
Technical skills: Analytical. Communication. Conflict management. Interpersonal. Presentation. Management. Risk management. Report writing. Planning and organising. Relationship management. Attention to detail. Collaborative. Deadline driven. Results oriented. Influential. Integrity.
Required knowledge (includes but not limited to): Sound knowledge of risk management principles and best practice e.g. ISO31000. Sound knowledge of the applicable legislation. Understanding of the public sector risk profile. Sound knowledge of risk and assurance related systems. Knowledge of business continuity management principles.
