KZN REGION INTERNAL ADVERT 
 
The following positions are available in the KZN Region
 


​ASSISTANT MANAGER: GRANTS ADMINISTRATION 

Salary: R552 081.00 – R650 322.00 p.a. exclusive of benefits 
Location: Impendle Local Office (Ref No. G14/2024) 
 
Requirements: Candidates should hold a B degree (NQF level 7) and/or a 3-year (NQF level 6) tertiary qualification in a relevant field, coupled with 3-5 years' supervisory experience in the social security environment (at a supervisory level); Knowledge of SASSA's constitutional mandate, relevant policies and legislation is required, as is proficiency in social security management and poverty alleviation matters; Computer literacy and a valid driver's licence are essential.
 
Duties: The incumbent will be responsible for the overall management of the grants administration programme in the Local Office and will manage operations pertaining to Grant Administration in the Local Office; Provide client administration and paypoint management services; Implement client improvement services and manage service level agreements with service providers. Additionally, he/she will implement service delivery and client relations improvement services; Acquire data, analyse and manage information and manage resources (financial, human and equipment) within the Local Office.

TEAM LEADER: GRANTS ADMINISTRATION 
Salary: R376 413.00 – R443 403.00 p.a. exclusive of benefits 
Location: Ndwedwe Local Office (Ref No. G15/2024) 
 
Requirements: Candidates should have a Senior Certificate plus an undergraduate qualification (NQF level 6/7) in the relevant field as recognised by SAQA coupled with 3 years’ supervisory experience (Social Security); Computer literacy and a valid driver’s licence are essential. 
 
Added Advantage: Understanding of Grants Administration, SASSA’s constitutional mandate, relevant policies and legislation in the Public Service will be an added advantage. 
 
Duties: The incumbent will manage, support and create/provide conditions that enable social service delivery possible through ensuring efficient and effective grants administration; Coordination and supervision of grants administration teams and components; Promote Service Delivery; Management of Staff at lower levels; and performing other generic functions.

DISABILITY MANAGEMENT UNIT 
Salary: R376 413.00 – R443 403.00 p.a. exclusive of benefits 
Location: KZN Regional Office (Ref No. G16/2024) 
 
Requirements: Candidates should hold a relevant B Degree (NQF level 7) and/ or 3 year (NQF level 6) tertiary qualification in the relevant field, coupled with 1-2 years' experience in the relevant field; Knowledge of Social Security as well as relevant prescripts and legislation governing SASSA; Computer literacy and a valid driver's license will be further essential. 
 
Duties: The incumbent will assist in the co-ordination of operations pertaining to disability and care dependency in the Region, with a specific focus on the operations of disability management and medical assessments and appeals. General administrative support relating to disability management within the Section; Support the co-ordination of the medical appeal processes within the district; Monitoring & evaluating – national norms and standards; Ensure adherence to service standards for enquires related to disability management; Assist with the drafting of correspondence and co-ordination of communication to various stakeholders relating to queries and information required.
