The generic requirements applicable to the following posts are as follows: • Display competency in the post-specific core functions of the post • Applicable NQF 6 qualification and 2 years' relevant experience in the field of the post of which 1 year should beat supervisory level • Senior Certificate (Grade 12) • Be proficient in at least two official languages, of which one must be English • Must be a SA citizen • Must have no previous convictions or cases pending • Computer literacy • Interpersonal, communication and organisational skills • Analytical, self-management and problem-solving skills • Report-writing, presentation and development skills • At least a valid light driver's licence • Applicants will be subjected to a vetting process which will include security screening and fingerprint verification • Relevant courses in the field of the post may be an advantage • Willingness to travel and work irregular hours.

Core functions:• Compile memorandums, information notes, letters and reports when the General travels • Take charge of inventories of the office • Collect correspondence in the Component • Manage incoming and outgoing documents • Synchronise diaries of role-players about meetings • Manage appointments/meetings according to appointment scheduled on the diary • Manage the human and physical resources of the office.
 
 
 
 
 
Graphic Designer 
Captain (Band C)

Additional requirements:• Bachelor's degree/National Diploma in Graphic Design or a related field • Ability to plan, organise; and meet deadlines and work long hours and under pressure including weekends and holidays • Ability to work well in a team • Analytical skills • Artistic ability • Communication skills • Computer skills • Creative and time management skills.
 
Core functions:• Provide graphic design support and monitor graphic design standards within the SAPS at Provincial level by means of design, layout and printing of various media for promotion and information purposes, with specific reference to those areas that are relevant to the priorities of the SAPS • Determine the message the design should portray • Create images that identify a product or convey a message • Develop graphics and visual or audio images for product illustrations, logo, and websites• Create designs either by hand or using computer software packages • Select colours, images, text style, and layout.
 

 
 
Camera Officer
Captain (Band C)

Post requirements:• Grade 12 or equivalent • Tertiary qualification or equivalent • National Qualification Framework (NCO level 6 • Able to plan, organise, and meet deadlines and work under pressure • Valid driver's licence and be willing to travel and work long hours including weekends and holidays • Able to work well in a team.
 
Core functions:• Coordinate the production of POL TV and When Duty Calls with relevant stakeholders • Determine the content of POL TV and When Duty Calls in line with the priorities of SAPS and strive towards an effective strategy • Market POL TV and When Duty Calls as a product of choice to the members of the service • Initiate, research and record broadcast qua* audio-visual material for utilisation by POL TV, When Duty Calls as well as produce programmes as requested provincially in line with the strategic objectives and communication strategy • Provide communication support to each unit in the service as a means of improving service delivery.
 
 
 
 
 
Senior Administrative Officer
Captain (Band C)
Remuneration: R329 490 per annum (Ref. NW04/06/2018)

Component Provincial OD & SM: Risk Management: Combined Assurance
 
Core functions: • Interpret and apply the combined assurance requirements espoused in legislation • Facilitate the development implementation and monitoring of combined assurance policy and strategy at all levels • Oversee the development and implementation of annual combined assurance plan for SAPS • Maintain the functioning of the SAPS' Combined Assurance Committee • Maintain the combined assurance database • Compile management reports on the application of combined assurance methodology.

The certification must not be older than three months • Qualifications and driver's licences submitted will be subjected to verification checking with the relevant institutions • The South African Police Service will verify the residential address of applicants and conduct reference checks • Appointments will be made in terms of the South African Police Service Act, 1995 as applicable to the post environment • Applicants appointed under the Police Service Act will be subjected to a medical assessment by a medical practitioner as determined by SAPS prescripts • Applicants appointed under the Police Service Act will be subjected to undergo a lateral entry training programme at a SAPS training institution, where applicable • Applications must be mailed timeously
