REMUNERATION AND BENEFITS ANALYST

Description
Position Objective
Implement the organization's reward strategy so that its compensation outcomes meet current and future business needs and are consistent with the organization's desired internal and external market position. The position provides specialised Remuneration and Benefits services, and advice.
Minimum requirements
- A relevant Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources, Economics, Accounting, or equivalent NQF 7 qualifications.
- At least 5 - 10 years min relevant experience. Significant experience as a reward professional, of which some should have been on management level.
- Expert knowledge of the different elements of Total Rewards.
- Strong and proven financial acumen skills.
- Extensive experience on the HR SAP, and other relevant HRIS system Global Remuneration Professional Certification (GRP) is essential. Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Excel at an advanced level along with Word, PowerPoint at an Intermediate level.
ADVANTAGEOUS:
- SARA Certification will be advantageous.

- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users clearly and concisely.
- Ability to review, implement and maintain efficient systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
Rewards Management - Provide specialist support in respect of Remuneration, Benefits, Reward, and HR Policies and Procedures including management information reporting:
- Support the line Manager with regards to the delivery of Compensation and Benefits initiatives.
- Participate in formulating/developing remuneration policies/procedures and assist in the maintenance and implementation thereof.
- Analyse and interpret remuneration plans and policies to advice and counsel Business and HR in the application thereof.
- Work closely with HR and Business on matters related to salary, benefits, and short-term incentives.
- Identification and gathering of Total Rewards benchmarks, conduct research and analyse survey results during benchmarking exercises with a view to determine the appropriate pay levels and benefits for jobs.
- Assists with developing a Total Rewards Programme that will retains and attracts top talent.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements of reward packages and structures.
- Provide guidance and specialist knowledge with regards to remuneration and benefits matters (Consulting Services).
- Provide support and specialist assistance and guidance in all Remuneration and Benefits matters, initiatives, and projects.
- Assist with the annual salary/wage increases and incentive schemes.
- Support all project matters relating to remuneration and benefits.
- Collect internal and external data to conduct compensation analysis to provide input into managerial decisions about the organization’s remuneration and benefits programs.
- Propose best practices in all rewards management activities, including rewards documentation.
- Ensure continued relationships with rewards management vendors.
- Provide specialist information to payroll for processing purposes, propose new aspects to be introduced and conduct quality checks.
Manage stakeholder relationships within HR and across the entity.
- Prepare information for various consultative forums.
- Provide a proactive knowledge empowerment environment by training and readily giving remuneration and benefits workshops to employees.
- Involvement in the annual remuneration reviews, salary increases and Short-term incentives and related HR policy changes.
- Prepare project plans.
- Provide input and support in terms of remuneration related projects and initiatives.
- Provide training to all HR personnel’s regarding Remuneration and Benefits Policy and other related policies.

Ensure an effective delivery of remuneration and reward services across SANRAL – this includes:
- Salary Administration and Management.
- Employee Benefit Schemes.
- Incentive Schemes.
- Retirement Fund Administration.
- Medical Aid Administration.
Responsible for SAP HR Enterprise Compensation Management (ECM)
Support HR in defining, streamlining, and putting into practice a performance-based SAP compensation program throughout SANRAL. This includes annual remuneration audits and regular audits on Cost of Employment and other remuneration data.
HR Project Management
- Assist with development and implementation of HR reward projects.
- Assist in scoping project plans related to identified interventions.
- Involvement in project management of outsourced services contracted to render remuneration and benefits services to SANRAL.
