INFORMATION OFFICER (RE-ADVERTISED)

- National Diploma (NQF 6) in Conservation/Policing/Information Management or similar qualification with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
- Knowledge of the relevant legislation, NEM: Protected Areas Act, National Heritage Resources Act, NEM: Biodiversity Act, Criminal Procedure Act, Integrated Coastal Management Act, Marine Living Resources Act and the regulations promulgated there under;

Responsibilities
- Oversee the data capturing from various sources onto Cmore and other software platforms.
- Assist with the maintenance of the information databases
- Clean, analyse, interpret and package information to support effective decision making in line with Area Integrity Management principles.
- Perform the analysis of data in order to guide reactive and proactive law enforcement interventions.
- Ensure efficient and accurate information management.
- Create and maintain information dashboards for dissemination to internal and external stakeholders.

ADMINISTRATOR
South African National Parks is looking for a self-motivated Administration officer to lead the administration for the Agence Française de Development (AFD) Funding to the Table Mountain National Park-Reunion Island National Park collaboration programme.

- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Operations, Programme or Finance administration with excellent financial management skills and competency. Preference to be given to experience in working with donor funding and audits (unqualified) thereof.
- National and International travel management (large groups of more than 5 travellers) experience.
- Valid Driver’s license and suitable driving experience
- Excellent Computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power-point, MS Outlook are a prerequisite.
- Ability to work with relevant Financial Administration, Human Resources Policies, Procedures and Practices.
- Ability to work with a Public Finance Management Act, Supply Chain Management procurement process to deliver goods and services timeous in the Programme planning.
- Sound written, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Applicant must have a sense of initiative, balance of patience and determination, be flexible and can meet deadlines and work independently without supervision and have attention to detail.
- Ability interest to speak/ learn French is advantageous.

- Ability to perform on-the-job repair work of above-stated systems and associated components
- Ability to work under pressure; hot, humid conditions and physical fit to climb ladders, lift heavy equipment
- A registration as an authorized person for handling and working with gases under pressure or have attended a course for Authorized Refrigeration Practitioners (Safe Handling of Gas), shall be an added advantage
- A valid Code EB driver’s license,

SECTION RANGERS (4 POSITIONS)

- Environmental Management Inspection (EMI) appointment.
- Firearm competency and the ability to use a wide range of firearms. (NB: valid SAPS Competency Certificate; Original Training Competency Certificate for Business Unit Standards; PFTC Statement of results indicating the unit standards for law and Business Purpose Unit Standards.)
- Computer literacy with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
