ADMIN CLERK (FIXED-TERM CONTRACT)
Park: Kruger National Park
Description:
Finance Department: Phalaborwa Office seeks to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced person to take up the challenging position of Admin Clerk for a six-month fixed-term contract. 
 
Requirements:
  • N6 Certificate in Financial Management;
  • A Diploma in Financial Management/Accounting or equivalent will serve as an added advantage;
  • Relevant working Experience with Great Plains Financial system will be an added advantage;
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Packages;
  • A working knowledge of relevant legislation, including BCEA, PFMA, SANParks policies, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills;
  • Applicant must be flexible and have the ability to meet tight deadlines and work with minimum supervision
 
Responsibilities:
  • Checking, consolidation, verification and submission of the monthly payroll documents, i.e. Sundays & holidays work, standby, overtimes and temporary employees timesheets
  • Checking and processing of employee expenses transactions, i.e. S&Ts and km claims
  • Process debtors transactions
  • Update the Housing list on a monthly basis
  • Consolidate and submit monthly water and electricity readings
  • Compile the monthly attendance registers
  • Receive, sorting and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
  • Perform assets management for the subdivision
  • Order office supplies
  • Assist with the Receiving of ordered goods and submitting invoices for payment processing
  • Filling of documents

SECURITY GUARD (A3)
Park: Kruger National Park
 
Description:
Fixed Term Contract - Nine Months
A vacancy exists for a Security Guard at Skukuza Safari Lodge.
 
 
Requirements:
  • Matric plus minimum Grade D Security Certificate with PSIRA
  • Must have at least 2 years experience as a Security Guard
  • Must have wide knowledge and ability in securing a building or a place
  • Must have the ability to protect and serve
  • Can easily detect suspicious things or actions
  • Knowledge in using firearms and other security equipment
  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of first aid
  • Communication skills (verbal and written).
 
Responsibilities:
  • Secure the park and its infrastructure from any act of emergency or violence and report any act of suspicious observations.
  • Monitor the place, check unnecessary actions.
  • Encode the names of persons who enter the KNP's premises in the register.
  • Guarding the area assigned to detect evidence of illegal entry or activities and ensuring that any material in the area has not been tampered with;
  • Reporting unusual occurrences to the Shift Supervisor or Security Supervisor, Chief Security Officer or Protection Services Manager
  • Conducting access control at all entry/egress points, ensuring only authorized personnel and vehicles are permitted entry;
  • Conducting random searches of vehicles departing or entering the KNP property for illegal taking of things or pilferage;
  • Providing physical security at Gates and related functions, including searches, parking and crowd control;
  • Conducting random patrols of all posts, searching each person who enters or exits the park and performing any other duties assigned.

GENERAL MANAGER: CORPORATE FINANCE
Park: Groenkloof (Head Office)
 
Description:
The Organisation requires the services of a General Manager: Corporate Finance in the Chief Financial Officer’s Division. This position will be based at Groenkloof National Park, Pretoria. 
 
Applicants in possession of foreign qualifications to submit evaluated results by the South African Qualification Authority.
 
Requirements:
  • Be in possession of a B.Com degree and an Honours Degree in Financial Management or similar graduate qualifications.
  • The successful candidate is required to be a certified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) or be registered as a Professional Accountant with the South African Institute of Professional Accountants.
  • Should have 7 - 9 years experience in senior manager finance, financial accounting, auditing, general management, budgeting.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation (GAAP, PFMA).
  • Knowledge of Accountancy.
  • Knowledge of taxation (PAYE & Vat).
  • Knowledge of IT and ERP systems (Experience of working with Great Plains Financial package or other financial accounting packages).

  • Ensure compliance with the applicable legislation and financial standards.
  • Develop, enhance, implement and enforce internal control systems.
  • Oversee the investment of funds and manage associated risks.
