Purpose: To assist the CCMA Commissioners and structures by providing interpreter services to facilitate successful outcomes of the CCMA activities.

Key Performance Areas:-
• Verbal interpretations during hearings
• Administrative support functions.

Key Requirements:
• Matric Certificate
• National Diploma in Labour Related Qualification.
• 1 year experience
• Knowledge on latest legislation/ amendments.
Languages: isiXhosa & English

FULL-TIME SENIOR COMMISSIONER DISPUTE RESOLUTION: OPERATIONS - NATIONAL OFFICE (POST LEVEL: 04)
The Dispute Resolution Department has a vacancy of Senior Commissioner Dispute Resolution Operations.
 
Purpose:
To manage the Administration of Dispute Resolution Redline matters and related post-hearing functions and services which includes the monitoring and reporting on the quality and standards of arbitration awards and rulings issued by CCMA Commissioners and to provide the necessary support to Regions and Commissioners in the delivery of related statutory functions and services. To contribute to maintaining and improving the CCMA’s credibility in the labour market with regards to the delivery of such functions and services. Serving on various national committees as directed by NSC Dispute Resolution/Director to assist with policy development and implementation at the National Office level.

Key Performance Areas:
• Evaluate the quality and standard of arbitration awards and rulings and to ensure that the CCMA has an effective perusal system in place.
• Manage the certification and related processes for the enforcement of arbitration awards for Awards rendered by National Office
• Monitor the quality and standard of all dispute resolution related efficiencies and to put in place initiatives that support continuous improvement
• Perusing and settling related training materials to ensure legal compliance
• Manage the implementation of the Case Law Monitor Program
• Institution project management
• Financial/Budget Management
• Assist in develop and implement job function specific aspects of the Departmental Operational Plan
 
Key Requirements:
• Unless a candidate can demonstrate suitability through the experience of not less than 5 years in a relevant managerial role, an appropriate Degree is required.
• 5 to 10 years’ in Law Practice and 3 years’ management experience
• 8 to 10 years’ professional /trade union/labour relations/law experience of which 5 years’ management experience

The ICT department has a vacancy for an Applications Developer – JAVA
 
Purpose
To translate technical specifications into working programs that meet defined specifications.
 
Key Performance Areas:-
• Analyze and understand user requirements
• Develop high quality source code
• Evaluate existing application technology, update and add new features
• Design database architecture for applications
• Develop applications for mobile platforms
• Collaborate with IT department for server environment upgrades

Key Requirements:
• Appropriate Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

• In-depth knowledge of Java SE and Java EE programming
• Knowledge of Spring Framework.
• In-depth knowledge Objected Oriented Programming
• Java API integration to multiple systems
• Development Processes and Methodologies
• Application Release Management (Subversion)
• Maven technologies
• Relational Database Systems knowledge (SQL Server and Oracle)
• Knowledge of SQL and PLSQL scripting

SUPPORT ENGINEER - NATIONAL OFFICE (POST LEVEL; 09)
The National Office -ICT department has a vacancy for a Support Engineer
 
Purpose: To assist our users with general ICT-related technical support issues. Assist users either onsite or remotely to determine the nature of the problem, diagnose hardware or software issues, provide effective assistance and maintain strong customer relationships.
 
Key Performance Areas:
• Customer service
• Trouble shooting and resolution
• Installations
• Repairs
 
Key Requirements:
• Minimum National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology preferred.
• Proven 3+ years of IT helpdesk support experience with excellent customer service skills at both first and second level support;
• Ability to critically analyse a symptom, diagnose a fault, plan and take appropriate action on equipment including, PCs, printers,
and networking
• Knowledge of hardware components and hardware troubleshooting procedures
• Knowledge of Microsoft server and desktop operating systems.
• Active Directory Administration
• Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot network services and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.);
• Cloud Computing concepts such as Office 365 Administration
• Experience with anti-virus, anti-spyware, and anti-spam applications;
• Good time management skills;
• Good interpersonal skills;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Ability to work with little supervision at times
