Reporting line: Foreman: Wetmill
Role Mandate
To operate framesaw and deal framesaw machines in the wetmill.

Key Responsibilities
 Efficiently and effectively operate log framesaw and deal framesaw machines in the wetmill
 Clean, grease and inspect machine before shift starts
 Diagnose machine problems, report breakdown and assist Artisans were possible
 Record temperature of bearings before shift starts and before lunch time on a daily basis
 Change saw blades and saw patterns before shift starts based on product plan
 Ensure correct spacers and buckles are used in hanging saws
 Record machine downtimes
 Ensure operational targets are achieved with good quality and quantity
 Perform housekeeping duties
 Check oil levels on daily basis
 Complete pre-start checklists, identify faults and report immediately
 Complete job cards on deviations found when completing checklist
 Adhere to OSH Act. and company standards at all times
 Operate according to Best Operating Practices (BOP)
 Perform Wetmill ad-hoc duties as and when required
 
 
Minimum Requirements
 Grade 10
 2 Years’ experience in wetmill operations
 Previous experience of operating framesaw machine will be an added advantage
