Strengthened Safety and Security Oversight system
- Manages the safety oversight program of the MET Department within SACAA.
- Develops national regulations and technical standards governing space weather and aeronautical meteorological service in the country.
- Makes and presents amendment proposals for aeronautical meteorological service provision and space weather service for approval by the Civil Aviation Regulatory Committee (CARCOM).
- Participate in the development of ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARP) and Procedures for Air Navigation Services (PANS) at regional and international level.

Strategic Support to the SACAA Director of Civil Aviation and Board
