REQUIREMENTS:
- National Diploma / Degree in Journalism or Media Studies or equivalent qualification (NQF 6 / 7)
- 5 years’ experience in general News and Current Affairs reporting
- Fluent in IsiXhosa and English
- Understand legislation and regulations impacting broadcasting
- Sound understanding of current trends in the social, economic, and political environment
- Computer literacy

- Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, in a disciplined, structured and focused manner to achieve and exceed set sales targets within the Radio segment of the broadcast media marketplace.
- Understand the needs, expectations and requirements of clients in the Radio segment in order to develop differentiated solutions based on the SABC’s portfolio of traditional radio stations and digital media assets.
- Collaboratively develop and propose to clients appropriate, relevant and innovative media solutions leveraging a mix of Radio stations and channels (as well as other potential platforms such as Video Entertainment & SABC Plus where relevant) to meet budget requirements, optimize campaign performance and enhance revenue opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with the Creative Solutions Team to ensure that Radio sales team's proposals and presentations are of high quality, offering insightful solutions and providing measurable outcomes.
- Ensure Salespeople actively use the SABC CRM system and adhere to all sales disciplines and reporting requirements.

- Provide regular, comprehensive monthly reports on Radio sales progress against set targets, inclusive of a detailed sales pipeline report and performance against key metrics such as calls made, proposals delivered, value of proposals, conversion ratios, salesperson productivity and effectiveness etc
- Collaborate with Sales Intelligence, Creative Solutions, Sales Innovation, and Channel teams to successfully commercialize, and implement new product solutions and offerings.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To execute audit assignments (includes financial, operational and compliance audits) in accordance with the Internal Audit Standards. To audit the efficiency and adequacy of financial and operational controls within the SABC to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and the PFMA and to inform relevant stakeholders on the state of the control environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analysing evidence, and documenting client processes and procedures.
- Conducts interviews, reviews documents, develops and administers surveys, composes summary memos, and prepares working papers.
- Examines, evaluates and documents information to support audit results.

- Carry out routine maintenance for the Refrigeration equipment as per schedule to equipment is kept in working order
- Do housekeeping and ensure log books are kept up-to-date
- Do installations, minor repairs and modifications to the refrigeration equipment e.g. fans, pumps, and air-conditioning plants, when necessary to ensure that the equipment works according to set standards
- On-the-job training of staff in basic skills to ensure that the department's work is done efficiently
- Braising and soldering of copper and various pipes to ensure there are no leaks on system
- Do standby 24 hours a day to be available when any of the facilities break down.
