Sedibeng Water with its headquarters situated in Balkfontein just outside Bothaville has an operational area spanning across three (3) provinces namely: Free State, North West and Northern Cape making it one of the largest water utilities in the country.
 
In order to meet the demands of its growth strategy, the organization is looking for suitably qualified individual to fill the following vacancy:
 
 
POSITION: Artisan: Boilermaker (x1) Balkfontein
N3 Certificate: Boilermaker • Trade Test Certificate • 2 years' relevant experience • Valid Driver's license
 
PERSON PROFILE
The incumbent must:
• be able to work within tight time-lines • be able to work in team set-up • be deadline driven • be able to analyse and resolve problems • have passion for compliance and quality; and • Be computer literate.
 
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain and repair equipment • Do gas cutting (oxy-acetylene) of flanges from steel sheets and pipes • Do drilling, grinding and ARC welding equipment • Measure and construct manhole covers and stepladders • Order and collect material for the section • Assist the pipeline section with the installations of valves, pipes and metres • Operate overhead crane and forklift • Compile and submit weekly or monthly report to the Superintendent • Do standby duties as and when necessary • Adhere to health, safety and environmental standards in the workplace.
