The following contract position expiring on 31 March 2030 exists in the organisation.
ICT HELDESK SUPPORT ADMINISTRATOR
All-Inclusive Annual Remuneration Package (TCTC): R 352 306.00
Reporting directly to the ICT Manager; the incumbent shall be responsible for the following:

ICT HELDESK SUPPORT ADMINISTRATOR
All-Inclusive Annual Remuneration Package (TCTC): R 352 306.00
Reporting directly to the ICT Manager; the incumbent shall be responsible for the following:
- serving as the first point of contact for SASSETA staff seeking technical support over the phone, chat or email
- attending to, evaluating and prioritizing incoming telephone, e-mails and face-to-face enquiries from users experiencing technical problems;
- configuring, testing and troubleshooting network connectivity and wireless access for local and remote computers and any other related devices;
- performing remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent issues;
- troubleshoot hardware and software problems, logging problems, keeping inventory up to date and documenting fixes;
- tracking and monitoring day-to-day performance of systems, and conduct analysis with the goal of improving performance;
- setting up and troubleshooting domains, user accounts and software accounts;
- determining the best solution based on the issue and details provided by SASSETA staff;
- offering training to other staff members on troubleshooting and diagnosing problems;
- escalating unresolved issues to the next senior level for guidance;
- providing input in writing/developing training manuals for new and updated software and hardware;
- requesting feedback and/or monitoring calls and other methods of correspondence to improve training methods;
- managing and ensuring safe keeping of SASSETA ICT assets;
- preparing and submitting ICT reports as and when required; and
- performing any other duty(ies) that may be delegated by the ICT Manager from time to time.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- An NQF level 5 qualification in IT/ System Support/ System Development is required.
- ICT Certificate (A+/N+/ITIL) is required.
- A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in the field of ICT is required.
- Must be computer literate at an advanced level in all Microsoft packages.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED
- Knowledge of hardware/software/network installation and troubleshooting;
- Knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting servers, switches, printers, desktops and laptops;
- Must be able to prioritise incidents based on the severity of the incidents;
- Effective communication to team leaders and end users;
- Client Service driven individual;
- Able to work unsupervised;
- Work with attention to detail and according to company policy;
- Effective time management and planning;
- Comply with al ICT Policies, ICT Governance Framework, ICT procedures, Standards and Guidelines
- Ability to make sure that SASSETA staff adhere to ICT governance framework, policies, procedures, standards and guidelines;

RESEARCH AND SKILLS PLANNING MANAGER
All-inclusive Annual Remuneration Package (TCTC): R 1 364 752.00
Reporting directly to the Executive Manager: Research, Skills Planning, Evaluation, Monitoring & Reporting, the incumbent shall be responsible for:
- developing and maintaining the Research framework, policy and procedures;
- developing the research plan to achieve the defined targets and priority skills areas;
- developing and implementing annual operational plan for Research Department;
- developing and implementing the SASSETA Sector Skills Plan (SSP);
- monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the research plan;
- reporting on the research implementation progress;
- managing the development and implementation of research projects;
- identifying and securing partnerships with relevant research organisations;
- managing the contracting of research partners and service providers;
- identifying research methodologies and delivery approaches to be implemented;
- conducting research and presenting research findings/recommendations;
- analysing information produced through research and make findings and recommendations,
- managing the OFO codes within the sector;
- developing the budget of the department to support achievement of the research strategy and operational plan,
- managing the financial performance of the research and skills planning in line with the approved budget and workplan;
- preparing and submitting standardised, regular and ad hoc reports as required;
- managing audit processes of the department ;
- identifying and developing strategies to optimise key stakeholder relationships;
- providing input and engaging with Chambers and DHET;
- managing the implementation of stakeholder relationship strategies and building sustainable and resilient relationships with stakeholders;
- managing resolution of stakeholder and stakeholder concerns and issues;
- engaging stakeholders to support the achievement of the SASSETA strategic objectives;
- building and maintaining SASSETA’s credibility and reputation in the sector;
- building capacity within the Research Department team;
- monitoring, evaluating and managing the team performance;
- implementing the SASSETA policies and procedures within the team;
- Recruiting quality team members to support the achievement of SASSETA objectives and strategy, and
- Build a cohesive, high performing team
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of NQF Level 8 qualification in Research or Social Sciences is required.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in monitoring & evaluation or research or learning and development or human resources development is required.
- A minimum of 3 years management experience in the public sector environment is preferred
- Must be computer literate at an intermediate level.
