SOCIAL WORKER

Purpose: The Social Worker is responsible for the provision of social work activities and provides emotional support during difficult times. 
 
 
Requirements: •Matric (NQF Level 4) as essential •Bachelor’s degree in Social Work/ Psychology (NQF Level 7) or equivalent •Registration with SACSSP •4 to 6 years working experience as a Social Worker. 
 
The successful candidate must have the following attributes and competencies:

Duties• Develop and implement an ongoing needs assessment for social services of the RTMC employees and Traffic Trainees •Plan and execute disease prevention and health promotion programs •Conduct interviews with RTMC employees and employees’ families to assess and review their situation •Provide counselling, crisis intervention, disaster relief, critical event debriefing, teaching and training, research, administration and consultation in various RTMC Divisions •Enhance unit readiness and the emotional well-being of Traffic Officers and Traffic Trainees, their family members •Organise and manage packages of support to enable employees and traffic trainees to lead the fullest lives •Identify training, certification and conference opportunities to attend that will add value to your personal development •Remain up to date with relevant market trends and incorporate information into your work to add value •Ensure that opportunities are taken on with a “can-do attitude” and with a focus on continuous learning.
