Purpose: The Manager: Training Material Development is responsible for ensuring that quality training material are developed by internal and external sources aligned to qualification and curriculum requirements. 
 
Requirements: •Matric (NQF Level 4) • Relevant Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent (NQF Level 7l) • Relevant Honour’s degree will be advantageous •6 - 8 years’ relevant curriculum development or training material development experience of which 3 years should be at a Supervisory level.

Duties: •Ensure the implementation of the Training Material Development Policy •Assist the development of a moderation policy •Develop and ensure the implementation of moderation processes and procedures •Develop and ensure the implementation of set training material development standards, processes and procedures •Ensure alignment of the policy, standards, processes and procedures with SAQA, QCTO and relevant SETA requirements •Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations •Scan the international and national environment for new and relevant approaches and methodologies regarding training material development •Consult with tertiary institutions and relevant bodies to enhance training material development processes and methodologies •Consult with SAQA/QCTO and relevant SETA’s •Identify material needs and requirements via consulting with relevant stakeholders/provincial and local authorities •Conduct research on the developed and approved qualification and curriculum and identify required learning material needs •Ensure the implementation of the curriculum in line with identified needs and NQF standards •Manage and coordinate the development and review and update of learner material •Ensure that all processes are followed to verify and approve developed learning material •Provide progress and ad hoc reports according to requirements and timelines •Promote open communication to the team to ensure problems are addressed timeously and effectively •Establish, coordinate and attend meetings with Subject Matter Experts •Liaise with and discuss training material development needs with identified Higher Education Institutions •Manage the Unit through the development and implementation of operational plan •Manage Human Resource •Ensure compliance with relevant legislation
