Purpose: The Manager: Theoretical Training is contributing to the teaching and learning efforts of the Road Traffic Training Academy. The incumbent is also responsible for ensuring that the theoretical training meets appropriate QA standards and the training is kept abreast of pedagogic developments in the areas concerned. 
 
Requirements: •Matric (NQF Level 4) •A relevant Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent (NQF Level 7) •A relevant Honours Degree or equivalent (NQF Level 8) will be advantageous •6-8 years’ relevant in Road Safety Management or Law Enforcement or Training Management experience of which 3 years should be at a Supervisory level.

Duties: •Oversee Theoretical training functions and activities •Assist in the development of the policy, processes and procedures •Plan and organise academic year cycle to meet Road Traffic Training Academy deadlines •Develop theoretical training plans •Ensure that research is conducted and research papers are published •Investigate the potential regarding the digitalisation and automation of the training process •Assist with the development of learning material •Assist with the compilation and development of technical assessment questions and examinations Provide regular updates and information regarding the training process •Assist with the integration of administrative services and academic programs •Ensure that formative and summative assessment of learners are completed on an ongoing basis in the theoretical environment •Ensure adherence to training qualification norms and standards in the training process •Manage, assess and analyse learning programme outcomes according to qualification requirements •Produce monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc theoretical training reports •Promote open communication to the Theoretical Training team to ensure problems are addressed timeously and effectively •Support the training of staff for effective people management.
