Purpose: The Manager: Learner Affairs is responsible for management of learner support across the Road Traffic Training Academy to ensure that trainees and their specific needs are met. The role is responsible for delivering first class learning support to all trainees thus reducing barriers to learning and maximising retention and success
Requirements: •Matric (NQF Level 4) (Essential) •A relevant National Diploma or equivalent (NQF level 6), A relevant Bachelors Degree or equivalent will be advantageous (NQF Level 7) •6-8 years’ experience in a customer related or learner support environment of which 3 years must be at a Supervisory role.

Duties: •Oversee the provision of a holistic learning support services •Ensure provision of Employee Wellness support services to trainees •Design, develop, coordinate, and present a wide range of workshops for trainees in relations to academic support issues •Ensure that clinic services are coordinated and managed •Ensure that trainees complaints are dealt with and resolved within defined turnaround time and RTMC policies and procedures •Ensure that processes and procedures are communicated to all trainees regarding the access to support functions •Compile reports related to trainee learner affairs •Manage the library and all related functions and activities •Ensure that trainees adhere to the RTMC’s Road Traffic Training Academy rules •Develop Learner Affairs policies •Develop and ensure the implementation of Learner Affairs processes and procedures aligned to the set policy on a range of Traffic Trainees affairs issues such as class absences, poor performance, and any other trainees related issues •Manage the Unit through the development and implementation of operational plan •Manage Human Resources
