ROAD ACCIDENT FUND (RAF)
The Road Accident Fund's mission is to provide cover to all road users within the boarders of South Africa to rehabilitate and compensate persons injured as a result of motor vehicle accidents in a timely and caring manner, and to actively promote safe use of our roads.
The Organisation requires the services of qualified individuals for the following position; the position will be based in the Durban Regional Office:

Purpose of the Job: To prepare and defend Magistrate Court matters within the fund's jurisdiction accordingly by the Internal Law Department

Reduce legal and expert costs and speedier finalization of litigated Magistrate Court matters
Improve on customer satisfaction
Contribute in the elimination of writs
Key Performance Areas
Provide supervision and control
- Access reports, statistics, disciplinary policy, motivation, mentoring
- Spot check on work performed by section
Reduce legal and expert costs and speedier finalization of litigated Magistrate Court matters
- Early settlement of litigated matters by overseeing the block consultation process. Offer reasonable cost contribution
Improve on customer satisfaction
- Regular feedback to internal and external stakeholders
Contribute in the elimination of writs
- Ensure that all court orders are loaded timeously. Ensure that payment documents are correct and forwarded to finance within 24 hours of receipt of court order. Ensure all settlements are loaded timeously and forwarded to finance within 24 hours of acceptance
Prevent backlog accumulation
- Ensure targets are met/ adjusted. Poor performers to be addressed, oversee block consultation, come up with initiatives to prevent backlog
Qualifications & Experience
- Four (4) year Degree in Law or equivalent.
- Admission as an Attorney of the High Court or Advocate
- Relevant 5 Years' experience in the claims environment/Litigation of which 2 years must have been on a supervisory level.

Remuneration
At the cost to company of minimum package applicable to this position is R591 298. 00 per annum and will be negotiable commensurate with experience.
NB: "RAF offers Total Employment Cost packages with no additional contributions from the Employer, successful candidates are required to structure their packages in manner that will suit their needs".
