The Road Accident Fund's mission is to provide cover to all road users within the borders of South Africa to rehabilitate and compensate persons injured as a result of motor vehicle accidents in a timely and caring manner, and to actively promote safe use of our roads.

Purpose of the job: Provide support to the Litigation Manager in the provision and management of the RAF litigated matters in the hands of the panel attorneys and outside 15km radius.
Key Performance Areas
- Conduct preliminary assessment of litigated files.
- Recommend a litigation strategy and actions to bring the matter to finality.
- Monitor litigation plan and strategy.
- Escalate matters with litigious disputes to pleadings processes.
- Provide panel attorney with file contents for trial preparation.
- Report on trial out comes and out of court settlements.
- B Degree in Law at NQF level 8 or equivalent.
- Admission as Attorney or advocate of the High Court.
- Relevant 3 years' experience in the claims/Litigation environment
Technical and Behavioural Competencies
- Knowledge /skill in court rules and litigation.
- Credibility and trust; ideally has earned the respect of managers, supervisors and other departments leadership at all levels.
- Ability to work under fire, handle stressful situations in calm manner.
- A good understanding of the organization's litigation infrastructure, services provided and customers /users.
- A good understanding of the organization's business and how panel attorneys effectively to contribute or are to contribute to the RAF litigation processes.

Remuneration
The total cost to company of minimum package applicable to this position is R349 998.00
per annum and will be negotiable commensurate with experience.
