Purpose of the Job:  Reporting to the Manager:  Post Claims Settlement, the successful person will be responsible to provide administrative services and perform claims handling with the aim to pay undertakings of low value.
 
Key Performance Areas
·         To estimate value of loss in terms of DOA. 
·         To acquire expert advice where necessary.
·         To quantify claims.
·         To request payments.
·         To liaise with claimants and service providers.
·         To assess accident relatedness of treatments.
·         To refer to Case management where necessary.
·         Assess the need for pre-authorisation.
·         Assess the need for medical intervention.

 
Qualifications and Experience
·         Diploma / Advanced Certificate @ NQF Level 6.
·         Relevant 2 year's appropriate experience as Assistant in Undertakings.

Technical and Behavioural Competencies required
·         Assess and calculate future medical treatment.
·         Detail orientated and analytical thinker.
·         Negotiation skills.
·         Computer literacy.
·         Knowledge of RAF Act, Amendment Act and third party law.
·         Knowledge of updates of earnings table, pension fund and the impact on loss of earnings.
·         Knowledge of rules of collateral and accelerated benefits.
·         Critical thinker, communication (written and verbal).
·         Time and desk management. 
 
Remuneration
A total cost to company of minimum remuneration package applicable to this position is R270 525.00 per annum and will be negotiable commensurate with experience.
