ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: FINANCE
(Permanent Position) REF: QCTO 176
Salary Level 9: R 376 596.00 – R 454 920.00 (Excluding benefits)
LOCATION: PRETORIA

To assist and contribute to the financial management practices (Including supply chain management), performance and impact.
 


Key functions:
 Assist the Finance unit with work plans management
 Assist with finance policies and systems management and development
 Budget preparation and plans management
 Assist with financial funding and income streams management
 prepare creditors and statutory payment schedules and payments
 Manage customers and debtors collections
 Management of Asset register and related reconciliations
 Preparations of annual financial statements
 Assist with financial risk controls and audits management
 Prepare monthly management accounts and related reports and reconciliations
 Assist and co-ordinate supply chain management including procurement of assets


 
Requirements:
 A recognised B degree/Diploma qualification with Financial Accounting as a major subject (minimum NQF level 6) registered with the National Qualifications Framework (NQF).
 Minimum 3- 5 years’ experience in Financial Management and Accounting environment
 Completed articles will be an added advantage
 Knowledge of Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations relate to Public Entities, Generally Recognized Accounting Practices (GRAP), Risk Management, Supply Chain Management including asset management, SAGE Evolution and Caseware Working Papers
 Must have skills in communication, analysis and interpretation skills, monitoring and controlling, report writing skills, planning, organising and problem solving skills
