Salary: R12 453.29- R16 811.14 per month basic plus benefits
 
JOB PURPOSE
Assist and perform duties to ensure and maintain the ripeness of fresh produce received by the company.
 
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and control ripening of produce, Ensure testing equipment is compliant with ripening standards, Monitor instrumentation controls to ensure correct readings are obtained, Ensure maintenance of correct temperature and humidity levels in accordance with the product type and the stage in the ripening process, keep record of tested produce and maintain records, Report incidents and keep incident record up to date, Apply and enforce market by-laws, Implement, maintain and improve QMS, Keep own training register up to date, Up to speed with the latest technology and developments in the industry. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
• Grade 12
• 2 years relevant experience
• Knowledge of ripening processes
