SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT CLOUD & SECURITY

Purpose of the role: 
The role of the Solutions Architect is to conduct the technical consultation with business partners and domain architects to ensure the development of efficient application systems utilizing established standards, procedures and methodologies. 
 
Requirements:
  • BSc Computer Science Degree/BTech (Information Technology) or related TOGAF Certification 
  • At least 6 years of experience in a Solution Architect domain 
  • ITIL and COBIT certification will be an added advantage 
  • Archimate modelling language 
 
Duties:
  • Analytical problem-Solving skills.

  • Experience in designing and implementing Cloud and Security architectures 
  • Extensive understating, use of case tools and modelling methodologies UML

IT PRODUCT OWNER

Purpose of the role: 
Responsible for incorporating the voice of the PIC customer (internal and external stakeholders) into the business products and digital solutions. The IT Product Owner manages and prioritizes the content produced by agile development teams and continually searches for innovations to improve organisational efficiencies (business value) through automation and digitisation. 
 
Requirements:
  • Degree (finance and engineering) and relevant commerce degree 
  • Postgraduate qualification MBA/ M.Com/ MFI/MSc/CA/CFA/Engineering and/or any relevant Master’s degree or professional qualifications 
  • Postgraduate qualification in tax law/company law 
  • 5 to 8 years of Investment Experience 
  • FAIS Representative 
  • Negotiation and deal structuring

DEVOPS ENGINEER

Purpose of the role: 
The DevOps Engineer streamlines the PIC’s software development lifecycle to improve developer productivity, delivery speed, and code quality. They work closely with development, operations and security teams to identify and resolve pain points and inefficiencies in delivery workflows. Key responsibilities include automating delivery processes and maintaining the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline. 
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or similar. 
  • Must have Agile development certification (Scrum). 
  • Preferred certifications in Microsoft solutions such as Azure and Power Platform 
  • 4 -5 years working experience with application development and support. 
  • Proficiency in one or more coding languages (e.g., as. HTML 5, C#, .NET, Web, Java, XML, JavaScript, CSS and Python). 
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and development platforms (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins, CircleCi, Docker, GitLab, Kubernetes). 
  • Experience with Agile development and a strong understanding of DevOps principles. 
 
Duties:
  • Streamline the software development lifecycle by identifying pain points and productivity barriers and determining ways to resolve them. 
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to understand their current build and release processes and make recommendations for improvement. 
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders, including development, operations, quality assurance, and security, to streamline processes. 
  • Provide guidance to development teams to improve the performance and operability of the solutions they develop. 
  • Build and maintain the CI/CD pipelines to improve developer productivity, agility, and code quality. 
  • Develop and continuously improve automation solutions (including testing) to enable teams to build and deploy code efficiently and consistently. 
  • Build automated testing to reduce manual effort and improve product quality. 
  • Ensure that systems meet business and customer needs for reliability and availability.
  • Monitor and manage application performance and service quality, including initial troubleshooting, debugging, identification of root causes, and issue resolution. 
  • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to analyze and troubleshoot complex production issues. 
  • Prepare and present design and implementation documentation to multiple stakeholders. 
  • Research new tools and technologies and recommend ways to implement them. 
  • Promote DevOps principles and culture across the software engineering organization.
