Job Description

Post: HR Business Analytics and Reporting Specialist (Ref: HR36)
Minimum Requirements:
- NQF Level 8 qualification in Human Resources Management or Organisational/Industrial Psychology.
- Qualification in Statistics/ Business Analytics/Computer Science/Data Management or an equivalent qualification is an advantage.
- 7-10 years’ experience in Human Resources field, specialising in a broad shared service environment, with a strong data analysis and reporting capabilities, of which 5 years should be in Human Resources Information Systems, Reporting and Data Analytics in a corporate sector within a shared services environment.
- Deep technical hands-on expertise in data analytics, data visualization, business intelligence, and reporting Proficiency in Human Resources Systems.
- Experience with HR data, HRMS/HRIS systems experience.
- Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors.
- Broad experience with analytic toolsets with ability to conduct advanced analytics in POWER HEDA and other tools as required.
Summary of Duties:
- Develop strategies for effective data analysis and reporting.
- Design and implement dashboards that present data in a meaningful and actionable framework for leadership.
- Build systems to transform raw data into actionable business insights.
- Provide strategic support to the Human Resource function in the areas of people metrics, reporting, and advanced predictive analytic capabilities.
- Manage HR analytical tools, reporting and dashboards.
- Mine data and provide intelligence to produce credible reports for decision making.
- Conduct data analysis and discovery to identify trends and correlations to uncover insights.
- Manage and guide the maintenance of employee data on the HR information system and for periodic reporting purposes.
- Produce and submit reports to enable informed decision making by executive management and relevant governance structures.
- Ensures compliance with relevant regulatory requirements
- Provides the necessary training to meet end user’s needs.
- Generates ad-hoc reports (for example, reports on turnover, hiring costs and benefits.
- Collaborates with ICTS to perform regular tests and upgrades to the system.

- Develop predictive models for attrition, high performance, and recruiting demand identifies statistical analysis techniques required to deliver insights.
- Manage all analytics and reporting across the HCS team.
- Improve upon current reporting standards by providing new functionality including canned reports, dashboards, predictive analysis, emailed reports, and mobile reporting capability.

Summary of Duties:
- Review and identify applicant sourcing tools, applications and methodologies to ensure optimum reach of potential candidates.

Minimum Requirements:
- Master’s Degree (NQF Level 9) in Human Resources Management OR Industrial Psychology, OR related field.
- Qualified as a Psychometrist or Industrial Psychologist.
- At least 10 years’ experience in human resource management, including sourcing and selection of employees across all levels of the organisation and enhancing performance management practices.
- At least 3 years’ experience in utilizing technology platforms and social media channels for sourcing and establishing talent pools.
- At least 3 years’ experience in HR analytics and reporting.
- At least 3 years’ experience in managing Human Capital Services operations through a business partnering approach.
Summary of Duties:
- Identify the talent acquisition requirements in collaboration with the Head of Organisational Development and Talent Management. Develop and co-ordinate plans to ensure the timeous appointment of suitable talent.
- Review and enhance the talent attraction strategies and methodologies. Ensure that DUT’s Employee Value Proposition remains relevant and attractive.
- Leads the effective and timeous turnaround implementation of talent sourcing strategies and methodologies.
- Review the effectiveness of talent sourcing strategies and methodologies and provide input re the continuous enhancements.
- Oversee the timeous preparation and completion of recruitment related administration Lead the sourcing and selection of senior members of staff and collaborate with the Senior Director: HCS.
- Oversight management and reporting on vacancy analysis, ensuring that this is kept within best practice and industry norms.
- Provide input into performance management strategy, policies and the annual performance management cycle.
- Oversee the management of the annual performance management cycle.
- Report on performance management results and outcomes and make recommendations for improvement.
- Identify and report on the key HR metrics in accordance with DUT’s reporting requirements.
- Analyse data, identify trends and risks and make necessary recommendations for improvements.

- Set the relevant deliverables and performance targets for own team in the department.
