LISTED IT PRODUCT OWNER 

*Job Grade: D3– D5 

Salary: All-inclusive remuneration package negotiable

Purpose of the role: 

Is responsible for incorporating the voice of the PIC customer (internal and external stakeholders) into the business products and digital solutions. The IT Product Owner manages and prioritizes the content produced by agile development teams and continually searches for innovations to improve organisational efficiencies (business value) through automation and digitisation. 

 

Requirements:

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, IS, Software / Systems Engineering or related 

·       Minimum 8 years working experience within software development and applications / product support 

·       Project Management and Agile Product Delivery Skills to manage multiple product delivery 

·       Experience in Financial Services industry 

·       Working experience of Microsoft Azure and Power platform 

·       Sound knowledge of supporting virtualized, cloud and hybrid environments 

·       Experience in DevOps and managing source code (Azure DevOps, TFS, etc) 

·       Programming Languages and Environment: C#, .Net, Perl, Python, T-SQL, PowerShell 

·       Certification in agile software development 

·       Certification in Microsoft products / environments such as Microsoft Azure, Development, Power Platform, PowerBI and SQL Server 

·       ITIL Foundation and COBIT certified 

 

Duties:

·       Direct strategic and operational activities related to development, configuration and /or integration of secure business products and digital solutions. 

·       Develop and execute a vision, strategy and roadmap for development and product delivery capabilities (including Agile and DevSecOps) as well as related functions. 

·       Support the entire lifecycles of Agile systems development in line with PIC policies, standards and professional best practices. 

·       Lead product backlog management (including refinements) to maintain a consistently up-to-date, prioritised backlog of clearly defined features/stories. 

·       Maintain budgetary responsibility for the department. 

·       Engage with cross-functional stakeholders, architects, and various engineers to design and develop the best solution options. 

·       Provide functional and technical guidance role for the implementation of new products and associated systems. 

·       Mentor product specialists across the development team and provide guidance on educational and training opportunities. 

·       Lead solutions acquisitions and manage service providers as well as their performance.

SENIOR ANALYST: PERFORMANCE & ATTRIBUTION

Requirements:

·       Postgraduate degree in commerce, science or any related equivalent qualification. 

·       CFA, CIPM and/or equivalent advantageous. 

·       5 - 8 Years relevant experience. 

·       FAIS RE 05 certification or must be obtained within 6 months of employment. 

 

Duties:

·       Perform and manage data reconciliation between source systems and performance measurement and attribution systems. 

·       Oversee integrity and completeness of performance data across systems (e.g., StatPro/Revolution, HiPortfolio, or equivalent), in collaboration with accounting, valuation, and investment teams. 

·       Calculate and validate time- and money-weighted returns (IRR) for unlisted portfolios, while monitoring performance and attribution across PIC’s investment portfolios. 

·       Measure and report portfolio performance against stipulated benchmarks on a monthly and quarterly basis. 

·       Conduct in-depth analysis of portfolio performance drivers across listed and unlisted investments, including attribution, vintage, sector, asset class performance, and fund manager returns. 

·       Provide insights into portfolio trends, risk-return characteristics, and benchmarking outcomes. 

·       Produce and present monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports for internal and external stakeholders. 

·       Maintain and enhance performance models for listed and unlisted/alternative portfolios. 

·       Implement performance and attribution management practices within PIC and monitor compliance with mandates and policies. 

·       Ensure strict adherence to governance frameworks, internal controls, and audit requirements while supporting Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) compliance and verification processes. 

·       Lead, mentor, and develop graduates and analysts in performance and attribution.
