NATIONAL ENERGY REGULATOR (NERSA)
 
The National Energy Regulator (NERSA) is a regulatory authority established as a juristic person in terms of Section 3 of the National Energy Regulator Act, 2004 (Act No. 40 of 2004). NERSA’s mandate is to regulate the electricity, piped-gas and petroleum pipeline industries in terms of the Electricity Regulation Act, 2006 (Act No. 4 of 2006), Gas Act, 2001 (Act No. 48 of 2001) and Petroleum Pipelines Act, 2003 (Act No. 60 of 2003). The structure of the Energy Regulator consists of nine members, five of whom are part-time and four are full-time, including the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The Energy Regulator is supported by a secretariat under the direction of the CEO. The Energy Regulator wishes to recruit personnel with appropriate competencies in the following area: 
 
Projects Administrator
Department: Electricity Infrastructure Planning (EIP) 
Salary package: R219 620.00 – R330 038.00 per annum (CTC) 
Reference: HR 19/20 
 
 
Requirements: * National Diploma in Business Management, Administration, Project Management, Engineering or related field * Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant working experience in project administration. 
 
The candidate must be competent in the following: * Basic Project Management Skills * Good Communication (verbal and written) Skills * Analytical Skills * Time Management Skills * Computer Literacy (MS Excel, Word, Power Point and Microsoft Project) Skills. 
 
Key responsibilities: Reporting to the Head of Department: Electricity Infrastructure Planning, the successful incumbent will be responsible for: * Coordinating project activities of the EIP department * Drafting of agendas and minutes of project meetings (internal and external) * Preparing and distributing reports to stakeholders * Administration of public hearing activities and publication of the project documentation * Coordinating and delivering submissions to NERSA * Drafting minutes of NERSA resolutions on departmental submissions 
* Assisting staff in the EIP Department with research activities, data collection and creation of databases * Collecting renewable energy data and liaisons with IPP Project Office * Developing renewable energy data base using Excel, Access and analysis of renewable energy performance data * Updating of performance data of conventional and renewable IPPs on a monthly basis * Daily updating of generation system performance database * Collecting projects information on distribution and transmission planning projects for audits * Developing and maintaining energy efficiency projects database * Participating in projects, where required in line with NERSA's Strategic and Business Plan according to NERSA's Team-based Network Structure principles as a team member * Performing any other administrative task assigned by the HOD: Electricity Infrastructure Planning.
