Position :Senior Manager: Capital Planning
Department :Operations – Capital Planning
Location :Braamfontein Head Office
Level :Task level 17 / D4
Reporting to: Chief Operations Officer
The purpose of the position is to manage the planning and execution of Pikitup’s capital investment programme. To develop the mid-term capital investment plan. To adhere to planning time frames in order to ensure that projects are executed timeously. To coordinate internal processes of project identification and prioritization. To advise on the alignment between proposed projects and the business plan and GDS. To input and participate in supply chain management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capital Planning and Execution
- Technical and Functional Specifications.
- Project Planning, Design and Implementation
- Tariff and Funding Model
- Capital Investment Programme Management
- Budget Management (Capital and Operational Budgets)
- Supervision/Management of Employees and staff Development
Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- A diploma in Project Management/ Construction Management would be an added advantage
- A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience, at senior management level
- 10 Years managerial experience, with at least 5 years at Senior Management Level
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of the public service or ambit of public entities will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge and/or understanding of Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA)
- Understanding of legislation and regulations relating to municipalities and systems (IDP and GDS)
- Understanding of funding models for Government and municipality engineering
- Clear understanding of Projects Management value chain
