ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER: SELF-ASSESSMENT SYSTEM (2 POSTS) (12-MONTH CONTRACT) (REF #: OHSC 24 /2024)
Salary: R 308 154 per annum (plus 37% in lieu of benefits)
 
Requirements: A three-year bachelor’s degree or three-year Diploma / National Diploma in Office/Business/Public Administration, Secretarial Support, or related field. At least three years’ experience in the office administration or in an office support role. Good computer skills (MS Word, Excel Access, Outlook), Excellent Planning skills. Good communication skills (written and verbal), Telephone handling skills. Administration and organizational skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Experience in the health sector, private, public service or regulatory environment or working with self-assessment and reporting systems would be an advantage.
 
Duties: Liaise and communicate with internal units and outside stakeholders with regards to matters pertaining to the Self-Assessment system. Provide administrative support for the Health Standards Development and Training Unit. Administrative support on the Self-Assessment system. Logistical arrangements for meetings and visitors to the unit. Identify areas for development

SENIOR SUPPLY CHAIN OFFICER (REF #: OHSC 23/2024)
Salary: R 376 413 per annum (plus applicable benefits)
 
Requirements: A three-year bachelor’s degree or three-year Diploma / National Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or Logistics Management or Finance. At least 3 years’ experience in supply chain management or procurement, which must include experience in tenders, contracts management, assets management and bid administration in the public sector. Excellent computer skills in MS Office software. A valid driver’s licence.
 
Duties: Administer the implementation and maintenance of the OHSC supply chain management and strategy and management frameworks. Administer the OHSC Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) annual procurement plans. Administer the OHSC supply chain database. Administer the OHSC tender and procurement management processes. Administer the OHSC supply chain and contract management processes. Administer the OHSC asset registers as well as management plans and processes. Assist with OHSC assets and inventory audits. Assist with the reporting of supply chain management information.

SENIOR ADMINISTRATOR: HUMAN RESOURCES (REF #: OHSC 22 /2024)
Salary: R 376 413 per annum (plus applicable benefits)
 
Requirements: A three-year bachelor’s degree or three-year Diploma/ National Diploma in Human Resources Management or related field. At least 3 years’ experience in human resources administration which should include employee benefits administration, recruitment and selection, performance management, training administration and appointments and terminations. Knowledge of legislation pertaining to human resources management including but not limited to Labour Relations Act, Employment Equity Act, and Basic Conditions of Employment Act etc.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills as well as computer skills on MS Word, Excel and Outlook. A valid driver’s licence and working knowledge of Sage would be added advantages.
 
Duties: Provide HR administration services, capture personal information on the payroll system (sage 300), Administer the recruitment and selection processes, appointments, terminations and service benefits. Co-ordinate and supervise the administration of training as well as the capturing of the Workplace Skills Plan. Act as Secretariat for various HR related committees, including the Employment Equity forum, various task teams and the Skills Development Committee, amongst others. Assist with policy and HR standard operating procedure development. Maintain statistics and monthly reports on HR matters, including employment equity. Administer the performance management system. Supervision of staff.

DIRECTOR: HEALTH SYSTEM, DATA ANALYSIS AND RESEARCH

Salary: An all-inclusive salary package of R 1, 216 824 per annum [basic salary consists of 70% of the total package, OHSC’s contribution to the GEPF (13% of basic salary)] and a flexible portion. The flexible portion can be structured according to OHSC guidelines.
 
Requirements: A matric and bachelor’s degree in nursing or medicine (minimum NQF level 7). Experience in data analysis planning and interpretation. A minimum of 8 years’ experience in health services with a minimum of three years of clinical care experience. Of the 8 years, a minimum of 5 years must have been in middle/senior management in health services. Must have a good people management track record. Sound understanding of Public Service policies and procedures. Experience in research, including qualitative and quantitative research, in particular epidemiological research with accompanying publications with an indication of their contribution as submitted to the journal.  Excellent verbal communication, analytical and report writing skills.  A valid driver’s licence. A postgraduate qualification will be an advantage. A sound understanding of healthcare risk measurement of quality and a profiling of health establishment would be an added advantage.
 
Duties: Develop and implement a health information framework for data collection analysis and report on health standards. Manage the health establishments register and database. Manage co-ordination of health standards research.  Manage the development, implementation, and monitoring of a Research Strategy for the OHSC. Planning and execution of operational research as it relates to the work of the OHSC.  Manage the early warning system, collection, collation, analysis, and interpretation of information on health establishment performance and risk. Manage the collection, collation, analysis, and interpretation of reports on health establishments’ compliance and complaints. Analyse health system information and key challenges. Manage health system information, knowledge and business intelligence sharing regarding compliance with the standards and issuing of recommendations. Publication of findings in peer-reviewed journals.  Collaborate with the planning and monitoring and evaluation unit within the OHSC to monitor the performance of the programme. General management of staff and resources. Manage risk and audit queries in the area of work.
