Nquthu Local Municipality (KZ 242) invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the following position:
Position : Manager: Information Technology
Salary : Task Grade 15 of the category 1 Municipality, plus Benefits such as Medical Aid, Pension Fund and 13th Cheque
Type of Contract : Permanent
Place of Work : Council Chambers
Key Requirements:
National Diploma: Information Technology or relevant combination of Technical Qualifications like NCSA, A+, N+
4 year relevant experience in Municipal ICT environment or related field.
Valid driver’s license
Knowledge and experience in management of ICT service level agreements.
Good IT Technical Skills especially in troubleshooting.
Key Performance Areas
Manage all administrative duties in the ICT Unit
Facilitate and implement Information Management Systems and ICT Strategy of the Municipality.
Manage project deadlines and deliverable.
Coordinate information management systems with key stakeholders such as GIS and ensure integration with other systems.
Develop and operate ICT systems of the Municipality.
Manage risk in the ICT environment of the Municipality as well as doing risk assessments and implementing security systems.
Facilitate all procurement processes with regard to ICT.
Integrate and maintain the Information Communication Technology function.
Identify ICT training needs.
Ensure internet and e-mail access throughout the Municipality.
Identify and evaluate standards, as well as new information technologies, and determine suitability for application or implementation or adaption to suit departmental ICT enabling environment.
Facilitate integration into the Local Government environment.
Prepare and present ICT related reports as required by competent authority.
Assist in capacitating all within the Municipality in the ICT field.
Facilitate all procurement processes with regard to ICT.
