Nquthu Local Municipality (KZ 242) invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the following position:
 
Position : Senior Examiner: Driver’s License (Re-advertisement)
Salary : Task Grade 11 of the category 1 Municipality, plus Benefits such as Medical Aid, Pension Fund and 13th Cheque
Type of Contract : Permanent
Place of Work : Traffic Offices

 
Key Requirements:
 Grade 12 senior certificate.
 Examiner of driving licence Grade B must be registered with department of transport
 Traffic officer Diploma must be registered with department of transport
 At least 3 years’ experience on the Enatis system
 Driving licence code EC
 Excellent written and communications skills in both English and isiZulu
 Knowledge of Traffman system, Enatis system, motor licensing and drivers licensing.
 Must be able to organise work and work under pressure
 Problem solving
 No criminal records or pending cases investigations
 
Key Performance Areas
 Supervising, monitoring and controlling the recording of fees received from driving licences / learners licences section.
 Ensure that all driving licence personnel understand and know the requirements of the applicable act, regulation and procedure manual.
 Ensure the testing centre complies with the requirements of the relevant acts and the minimum requirements as prescribed all times.
 Ensure that any form of malpractice or violation of the above mention be reported to the province and inspectorate of the driving licence testing centre.
 Ensure that all documentation kept at the testing centre is completed in full before any licence or permit can be issued.
 Provide basic information and explanations on fees, changes and penalties.
 Reconcile total collections against receipts.
 Supervising and ensuring the best performance of all the administration and examiners.
 Create and maintain staff discipline towards the members of the public.
 Attending meetings discussions and preparing and circulating minutes to departmental personal.
 Completes specific reports, statutory documentation and registers
 Controls workflow processes and output levels of administrative personal.
 Co-ordinating the implementation of procedures system and controls related to receiving, updating and recording of transactions on all systems
 Supervise on capturing and updating of files of Enatis system
 Ensuring the daily cash balances and ensuring that the banking is done accordingly.
 Ensuring that the office stationery is always available working hand in gloves with the senior licensing officer and the Senior Traffic Officer.
 Managing the booking system.
 Examine applicants for learners licences and driving licences
 Perform general and selective law enforcement duties of law enforcement (enforce council bylaws, control traffic, escorting, processes of warrants of arrest and other traffic related duties
 Prepare reports for the department of transport and chief traffic officer.
 Performs specific activities associated with providing support to line functions.
