SENIOR MANAGER SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (SED)
 
 
Minimum requirements:
A bachelor degree in Business management, Commerce, Social Science or equivalent.
A postgraduate qualification related to the job requirement, would be an added advantage 8 years' SED experience of which 5 years must have been at Senior Management level
 
Key performance areas:
• Participate in the development of the Gauteng Gambling Board (GGB) 5 year Business Plan and Annual Performance Plan as a member of the Management Committee
• Develop the annual Sports Development Fund (SDF) / Corporate Social Investment (CSI) and Responsible Gambling Business Plans aligned to the GGB's Annual Performance Plan
• Continuously evaluate and review the Department's Strategy and its programmes for relevance and compliance with sound development practices Develop and review SED policies and procedures in alignment with business objectives and legislation
• Review working practices to ensure that resource allocations are continuously optimised, and deliver continuous improvement
• Develop an integrated responsible gambling programme through an integrated social media campaign drive, liaison with the relevant stakeholders, radio programmes social studies around gambling, learnership campaigns, etc.
• Monitor and evaluate CSI/Sport Development projects to ensure that funds are not being wasted, and report to the Board on CSI/Sport Development projects and invite Board Members to view the projects
• Manage the bursary program and liaise with National Student Fund Support, students and all universities to attend to program issues and funding Identify, assess and prioritise risks, applying resource to monitor and control the impact
• Establish strategic partnerships between GGB and the shareholder and other stakeholders, where appropriate
• Undertake financial management and human resource management
