Requirements: A three year Degree or National Diploma in Public Administration or Social Sciences. 3-5 years' experience in the relevant field or a related field in a supervisory level. Requirements: Applicants should be in possession of a Grade 12 certificate plus a recognized Degree in Archives or Records Management with an appropriate major subject such as History, Public Administration or Information Management. 3 —5 Years experience in the field of Records Management at a supervisory level. Duties:Monitor compliance of the Northern Cape Archives Act No 7 of 2013 and other relevant pieces of legislation. Establishing the archival and records management services in the province. Design policy and present training programmes in areas relating to Archival Services and Records Management. Manage the section under his/her control and report on the programme of the section to supervise. Supervise and conduct appraisal of paper based and electronic records. Evaluate and advice on destruction of certificates and transfers. Establishing the Archives Repository and coordinate and facilitate related services to be offered. Conduct records management inspections and offer training and guidance in this field to practitioners. Coordinate oral history projects and outreach/awareness programmes relating to archival heritage and career outlook in this field. Be responsible for self development in this field. Liaise with and between all organs of state in the Northern Cape regarding archival and record keeping services. Compilation and execution of retention schedules.
