TASK Grade 14 (R517 584 – R719 580) per annum)

Qualifications and experience required:
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification i.e. a Public Administration Diploma/Degree NQF 5
- Three to five years’ experience.
- Computer Literacy – Office applications.
- Possession of Local Government Administrative process understanding.
- Conducting performance appraisal skills.
- Analytical statistical skills.
- Verification of logistic and administrative skills.
- Maintenance the compliance of Rule of order in Council skills.
Key attributes and competencies:
· Planning and coordinating skills.
· Maintaining stock of standard form and stationery knowledge.
· Meeting attendance compliance knowledge.
· Maintaining the correspondence register, checking reference number.
Job purpose:
Manages the key performance areas and outcomes of the administrative and executive functions of the Speaker through the alignment and promotion of Councils mandate / resolutions via Councillors, Committees, Programmes etc. and developing and facilitating programmes (Public Participation Programmes, Peoples Assembly etc.) maintaining compliance of Rules of Order in Council and Portfolio meetings and Code of Conduct for Councillors, and directing the administrative policies and procedures associated with the Officer of the Speaker.
As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, a medical examination, security vetting and psychometric assessment.
