DIRECTOR MUNICIPAL INFORMATION SYSTEMS

TASK Grade 18 (R831 240 – R1 155 684) per annum)
(Basic salary only, excluding benefits)

Qualifications and experience required: 
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification i.e. National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology (NQF 5/6)
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of legislative applications and procedures and technical principles embodied in information Technology discipline.
  • Directive and control skills.
  • Presentation, analytical and evaluation skills.
  • Advance technology and confidential skills.
  • Considerable years Information Technology experience at a management level (7 to 8 years).
 
Key attributes and competencies:
·        Interpret and implementation knowledge.
·        Guidance on tender procurement knowledge.
·        Establish training needs gap knowledge.
·        Monitoring, Management and coordination skills.
 
 
Job purpose:
 Manages the key performance areas and results indicators associated with the provision of a quality and capable information structure through investigation, analysis and interpretation of development requirement, mapping out continuous improvement strategies for corporation, coordination sequences with respect to the implementation of procedures pertaining to the scoping, award and monitoring of contractor performance and, maintain optimum system and network operating functionality. 
 
As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, a medical examination, security vetting and psychometric assessment.
