ELECTRICITY AND ENERGY DIRECTORATE
DEPUTY DIRECTOR SYSTEMS OPERATIONS
(TECHNICAL SERVICES)
POSITION CODE: 210127
TASK GRADE 16 (R655 920 – R911 904 per annum)
(Basic salary only, excluding benefits)

Qualifications and experience required:
· Registration as a Professional Engineer with ECSA.
· Valid code EB drivers’ license.
· BTech/BSc Degree in Electrical Engineering or National Higher Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current) (T4).
· Five Years relevant experience.

- Incumbent must be physically fit and healthy and be able to perform manual operations and duties on foot.
- Must be able to work overtime and be on standby.

- Sight, speech and hearing ability (eye test for colour blindness is required).
Job purpose:
Responsible for supervising, co-ordinating and controlling the System Operations Division for the purposes of ensuring continuity of electricity supply through the MV and HV networks.
As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, a medical examination, security vetting and psychometric assessment.
