DEPUTY DIRECTOR APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT
(MUNICIPAL INFORMATION SYSTEMS)

TASK Grade 16 (R655 920 – R911 904) per annum)
(Basic salary only, excluding benefits)

Qualifications and experience required:
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification i.e. National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology (NQF Level 5/6).
- Valid Code EB driver’s license.
- Management and co-ordination Dimension skills.
- Possession in in depth knowledge of legislative applications, procedures and technical principles in Information Technology Discipline.
- Considerable years Information experience at a management level (6 to 7 years).
- Controls expenditure, budgetary skills.
- Presentation and compiling statistics skills.
Key attributes and competencies:
- Planning of deadline and analytical skills.
- Performance appraisal skills.
- Design, implementing and assessing testing procedure knowledge.
- Co0rdinate and control process and procedure knowledge.
- Investigating and identifying all user knowledge.
Job purpose:
Coordinate and controls all activities associated with Application Development, analysis, design, programming, testing, implementation and maintenance of the Metro’s Information Technology requirements. Ensures that the Application Development is in line with IDP. Liaises with other investors in assessing and planning future information technology requirements. Provides input into the compilation of operating budget and expenditure control for the section.
As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, a medical examination, security vetting and psychometric assessment.
