The National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications (NRCS) was established on 1 September 2008 in accordance with the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications Act. It is an agency of the dti, established to administer compulsory specifications and other technical regulations with the view to protect human health and safety, the environment and to ensure fair trade, in accordance with Government policies and guidelines.

Pretoria and Durban Regional Office
Reporting to: Manager: Inspections (Operations)
Ref No: (Durban: 5926 and Pretoria: 4655)
Basic Salary Per Annum R 256 973.70
 
 
Purpose: To facilitate the testing of products by selecting and transporting sample products to the NRCS.

KPA/ Key outputs:
  • Sampling of Products
  • Surveillance Inspections of Sampling Clients and Retailers
  • Removal of Samples after Inspections
 
Requirements/ Experience:
  • Matric with mathematics and a Code 8 drivers licence
  • 2 years in a sampling or picker role. Warehouse experience is an advantage
 
Knowledge & Skills: Very good knowledge of product storage and transportation requirements; Good knowledge of product labelling requirements and standards; Code 8 drivers licence; Very good knowledge of product disposal requirements and standards

NB:
  • Preferred candidate is African Male in order to meet NRCS EE targets as per our EE Plan.
