TRADE TEST ASSESSORS 

TRADES:
CIVIL – REFERENCE NO. TTACIV010925 
ELECTRICAL – REFERENCE NO. TTAELE020925 
MECHANICAL – REFERENCE NO. TTAMEC030925 
 
Minimum Requirements: Grade 12/Matric/Equivalent together with a N3 Certificate plus a Trade Test Certificate in the relevant trade and a Generic Assessor Certificate. A minimum of 3 years’ post qualification industrial experience and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in facilitation/training for apprenticeships/learnerships. 
 
Recommendations:
  • Knowledge and experience in assessing QCTO National Trade Tests 
  • Knowledge and experience in moderating QCTO National Trade Tests 
  • Knowledge and experience in conducting QCTO ARPL Assessments 
  • Moderator Generic Certificate 
  • Knowledge of SAQA, NQF, Skills Development Act, FET Act and Learnerships. 
  • Excellent Communication and Verbal delivery skills 
  • Computer Literacy (MS Office) 
  • National Diploma in the relevant trade 
  • An appropriate Professional Education Qualification 
 
Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Assessment of trade test candidates in the relevant trade. 
  • Moderation of trade test candidates in the relevant trade 
  • Conduct pre-assessment meeting with the trade test candidates 
  • Provide feedback to trade test candidates on assessment outcomes 
  • Populate and complete trade test documents for submission to the Trade Test 
  • Conduct ARPL Assessments, as when required. 
  • Available when required for external or internal monitoring, audits and verification processes of assessments 
  • Maintain updated personal registration records and as per accreditation quality assurance requirements

DRIVER – CODE 08 (SALARY LEVEL 4) 
SALARY: R193 359.00 P.A. plus benefits as applicable in the Public Service 
REF NO: DRV08/2025 
NO. OF POSTS: 01 
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 
Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent and a valid Code 08 driver’s license together with a PDP plus at least 2 to 3 years of relevant driving experience. 
 
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Reading and writing skills. Must be honest and reliable. The ability to do minor vehicle repairs e.g. Fixing and/or changing of tires. Must have a good understanding of the procedure for maintenance of motor vehicle. Must have knowledge of storage requirements, messenger services and general admin. Knowledge and experience with wash bays will be an added advantage. 
 
DUTIES:
  • Transporting of students, work teams and/or material/equipment. 
  • Drive light, medium and/or heavy motor vehicles to transport passengers and deliver other items (mail and documents) 
  • Do routine maintenance on the allocated vehicle and report defects timeously 
  • Complete all the required and prescribed records and logs books with regard to the vehicle and the goods handle, including vehicle logbook, trip authorization for vehicles. 
  • Render a clerical support/messenger service in the relevant office if necessary, this would, inter alia, entail the following: 
  • Assist in the registry. 
  • Copy and fax document. 
  • Collect and deliver documentation and related items in the department.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 
Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent and a valid Code 10 driver’s license together with a PDP plus at least 2 to 3 years of relevant driving experience. 
 
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Experience in driving a 22 seater bus will be an added advantage. Reading and writing skills. Must be honest and reliable. The ability to do minor vehicle repairs e.g. Fixing and/or changing of tires. Must have a good understanding of the procedure for maintenance of motor vehicle. Must have knowledge of storage requirements, messenger services and general admin. 
 
DUTIES:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 
Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent and a valid Code 14 driver’s license together with a PDP plus at least 2 to 3 years of relevant driving experience. 
 
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Experience in driving a 65 seater bus will be an added advantage. Reading and writing skills. Must be honest and reliable. The ability to do minor vehicle repairs e.g. Fixing and/or changing of tires. Must have a good understanding of the procedure for maintenance of motor vehicle. Must have knowledge of storage requirements, messenger services and general admin. 
 
DUTIES:
  • Transporting of students, work teams and material/equipment. 
  • Drive light, medium motor and/or heavy vehicles to transport passengers and deliver other items (mail and documents) 
  • Detect and repair minor mechanical problems on the vehicles and take steps to have it repaired (check level and condition of oil, fuel, tyres and water) 
  • Complete all the required and prescribed records and logs books with regard to the vehicle and the goods handle including vehicle logbook, trip authorization for vehicles. 
  • Render a clerical support/messenger service in the relevant office if necessary, this would, inter alia, entail the following: 
  • Assist in the registry. 
  • Copy and fax document. 
  • Collect and deliver documentation and related items in the department.
