PURPOSE
To manage the performance of Enterprise Rick Management (ERM) activities in compliance with relevant legislations, regulations, frameworks, policies, standards and guidelines; and to provide guidance and support to business line management in the identification and management of organizational risk and opportunities in relation to the Company’s strategies and objectives; including the development, monitoring and reporting on the risk profile of the Company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, review, maintain and communicate Enterprise Risk Management and Insurance philosophy, frameworks/ methodologies, policies strategies and processes. Coordinate and facilitate risk management information & knowledge sharing and communication with line management. Monitor, evaluate, maintain or enhance the risk maturity profile of the organization. Ensure alignment of Enterprise Risk Management activities with business planning performance, budgeting and reporting processes.

Coordinate and facilitate risk management information & knowledge sharing and communication with line management. Monitor, evaluate, maintain or enhance the risk maturity profile of the organization. Ensure alignment of Enterprise Risk Management activities with business planning performance, budgeting and reporting processes.
Develop risk management key performance indicators, key risk indicators, risk appetite and tolerance levels. Facilitate and manage process for the identification, assessment, mitigation, monitoring and reporting of business risk and opportunities. Evaluate managements responsiveness in addressing risks and opportunities. Monitor claims processing and records management by Insurance Administrators and ensure complete and accurate claims records. Facilitate processes for embedding a risk management culture within the organization. Communicate insurance renewal and claims processes to all relevant internal stakeholders. Ensure regular, adequate and effective reporting to all relevant internal and external stakeholders. Perform analysis of risk information and provide management with risk insight to enable risk informed decision making. Liaise with Line Management, risk owners and risk champions across the organization on an ongoing basis. Coordinate efforts with various internal and external assurance providers. Compile annual budget inputs and perform regular budget control & monitoring. Ensure adherence to proper procurement processes. Perform continuous monitoring and review of the performance of service providers against Service Level Agreements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Essential qualifications and experience:
• A Bachelor ‘s Degree (Risk Management OR Insurance or equivalent NQF Level 7 Risk and Short-term Insurance), Registration with relevant professional body (i.e. Institute of Risk Management SA – IRMSA, Insurance Institute of SA- IISA, etc)
• 5 years’ operational risk management experience of which 3 years must be at management level. Strong communication and managerial skills with solid internal control mindset, high influence skills and the ability to work and analyse effectively across all levels.
• Valid driver’s license
