An exceptional opportunity awaits a dynamic individual with the right qualifications and experience to assume the position of Handyman General.
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will be to:
Performing carpentry and plumbing work.
Performing painting work as and when required.
Performing electrical repairs including lights.
Performing general maintenance of Ithala branches.
Adhering to OHS standard and building regulations.
Reading plumbing / carpentry sketches.
Determine material requirements.
Carry out installations according to predetermined procedures and standards.
Quality constructions are completed timeously.
The following entry requirements must be met in order to be considered for this position:
Grade 12.
Code C1 (10) Driver’s License with PDP.
Own vehicle essential.
Certificate in building maintenance to include plumbing, painting, bricklaying and basic electrical repairs.
A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar position.
Carpentry, electrical, plumbing and painting skills.
Experience in hardware tools and electrical repairs.
Have of knowledge on safety rules and regulations regarding plumbing and carpentry.
The Individual must have the ability to read basic sketches / drawings applicable to carpentry.
Fluency in both IsiZulu and English.
Ability to adapt to changing schedules or routines.
Possess a positive attitude and be professional.
Good time management skills.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.

In this position, the ideal candidates will be required to
Manage savings, branch operations, resources and client queries.
Market Ithala products and services.
Manage branch sales and profitability.
Manage client relationship.
Ensure FICA/FAIS compliance of all operations within the Branch.
Implement procedures and key controls.
Produce reports.
