An exceptional opportunity awaits a dynamic individual with the right qualifications and experience to assume the position of Handyman General. 
 
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will be to: 
 Performing carpentry and plumbing work. 
 Performing painting work as and when required. 
 Performing electrical repairs including lights. 
 Performing general maintenance of Ithala branches. 
 Adhering to OHS standard and building regulations. 
 Reading plumbing / carpentry sketches. 
 Determine material requirements. 
 Carry out installations according to predetermined procedures and standards. 
 Quality constructions are completed timeously. 
 
The following entry requirements must be met in order to be considered for this position: 
 Grade 12. 
 Code C1 (10) Driver’s License with PDP. 
 Own vehicle essential. 
 Certificate in building maintenance to include plumbing, painting, bricklaying and basic electrical repairs. 
 A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar position. 
 Carpentry, electrical, plumbing and painting skills. 
 Experience in hardware tools and electrical repairs. 
 Have of knowledge on safety rules and regulations regarding plumbing and carpentry. 
 The Individual must have the ability to read basic sketches / drawings applicable to carpentry. 
 Fluency in both IsiZulu and English. 
 Ability to adapt to changing schedules or routines. 
 Possess a positive attitude and be professional. 
 Good time management skills. 
 Ability to work with minimum supervision.

In this position, the ideal candidates will be required to 
 Manage savings, branch operations, resources and client queries. 
 Market Ithala products and services. 
 Manage branch sales and profitability. 
 Manage client relationship. 
 Ensure FICA/FAIS compliance of all operations within the Branch. 
 Implement procedures and key controls. 
 Produce reports. 
 Manage all aspects of administration, including compilation of capital budgets and management information and maintenance of records. 
 Manage all aspects of Human Resources. 
 
The following minimum requirements must be met in order to be considered for this position: 
 Grade 12 
 A Business/Financial related Degree/National diploma. 
 First Level Regulatory Examinations (RE5) 
 Five (5) to Six (6) years relevant experience in a banking or financial environment, three years must have been at a supervisory level. 
 Computer proficiency in MS Office and banking system. 
 Knowledge of National Credit Act, FICA, Consumer Protection Act, PFMA. 
 Knowledge and understanding of Ithala’s Key Controls, Policies and Procedures. 
 Understanding of Code of Banking Practice. 
 Good interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with people at all levels. 
 Good communication (verbal and written), administrative, planning and organizing skills. 
 Good marketing and selling skills. 
 Highest level of integrity, judgement and assertiveness. 
 Presentation skills. 
 Ability to effectively manage others. 
 
In this position you will be required to work a five-and-a-half-day week, with longer working hours during pay days

The successful candidate will: 
 Provide support for the development of corporate governance. 
 Contribute to the continuous improvement of risk management, governance and control. 
 Coordinate and monitor risk framework in area of responsibility. 
 Create, manage and nurture relationship within the allocated audit portfolio. 
 Ensure compliance with relevant law and codes. 
 Identify audit activities in allocated audit portfolio and implement scope and coverage programs. 
 Execute and manage projects in line with divisional policies and procedures. 
 Create control issues log. 
 
The following entry requirements must be met in order to be considered for this position: 
 National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Internal Audit, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 
 Completed and signed off SAICA Articles 
 Drivers licence. 
 Experience in Banking Sector / Financial services or ICT auditing would be an added advantage. 
 Knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques of accounting, auditing and risk management. 
 Knowledge of techniques, tests and sampling methods involved in conducting audits and the Requirements set forth in the International Standards of the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing. 
 Knowledge of computer-orientated accounting and auditing record keeping systems. 
 Understanding of PFMA, Banks Act, Regulation relating to Banks, King Report on Corporate Governance, Enterprise Wide Risk Management and other control codes. 
 Understanding of project management principles. 
 Skill in the use of mini and micro computers in conducting audit activities 
 Demonstrated ability to gather, analyse, and evaluate facts and prepare and present concise oral and written reports. 
 Ability to communicate effectively both oral and written including the ability to interview persons to extract sensitive information.
